appearance Zexion wears the official Organization XIII wardrobe: a floor-skimming, zip-up trench coat/cloak, full gloves and boots, every article black. Silver chains adorn the front of the cloak, almost resembling some sort of necklace. Its (rather useful) hood is complete with white drawstrings.
The man himself has rather short hair compared to several other members of the Organization, most of it barely skimming the nape of his neck. Thick silver bangs tend to cover only his right eye, while the remainder of his hair is left to spike as it pleases in the back. Zexion's face is a pretty one, however frequently wearing an aloof expression. His Caribbean-blue eyes are usually narrowed and preoccupied, reading.

personality The majority of the Organization's occupants seem hostile to begin with, and Zexion is just that - minus the occasional member by his side. He comes across as socially inept and prefers to keep personal matters private, locks engaged. He is calculating and manipulative, but in such a subtle matter that what he does often goes unnoticed until its consequences later arise.
After once owning a heart, Zexion wholly understands its weaknesses and sees himself above it all rather than yearn after his Somebody. In the past, confusing his opponent's mind with heart proved most effective, using tools such as guilt or shame - even flattery - to tear someone up inside.
Attempts to befriend or even understand VI are often met with courteous misdirection and later given up on, due to his general lack of trust among beings. Zexion also resorts to being highly critical of those whom he isn't familiar with, constantly second-guessing their true intentions.
In turn, this strong sense self-dependency has created arrogance in his intellect. Typically very sure of himself, VI is vulnerable to being caught off-guard when faced with a true challenge. Thankfully that doesn't happen often.

abilities/strengths A quick wit and tendency to get others to do things for him progresses Zexion in life (especially when resorting to psychological warfare). He relies solely on the knowledge concerning his opponents, exploiting their mental weaknesses to his advantage.
Along with causing mental disfigurement, he holds the power of illusion. When physical action is critically needed, Zex will resort to a number of things: disguising himself as another, otherwise mimicking weapons and/or aptitudes other than his own.
Another notable trait of Zexion's would be his ability to distinguish individuals according to their scent. Depending on whether the scent is fading or particularly strong, he can assume where someone is located (or if they cease to exist at all).
Number VI also seems to know how to cook rather well.
weapons His psychic abilities double as his weapons, seeing as Zexion prefers to approach his enemies from the sidelines.
When needed, VI resorts to his only material weapon - a lexicon.
Its spellbound pages are hurled at the opponent, leaving them trapped and helpless within the book.
weaknesses Overanalyzing things and headaches tend to put VI's nerves on end, and puts out extra effort on his part to avoid the two situations. He isn't a morning person and, in turn, does most of his studying well into the nightly hours.
Within the Castle, Zexion was so fed up with Axel's poor attempts at cooking that he actually picked up the practice. (This also leaded to an abhorring of burnt toast.)
His outlook on life is that physical brawls are better left to someone else, or avoided in its entirety.
Strong hearts aren't easily broken down, thus becoming a burden for Zexion - something easily overlooked.

history Zexion's original self was Ansem the Wise's youngest lab assistant, formerly known as Ienzo. Intrigued by the mind from a young age, Ienzo often played mental games with teachers and fellow students at his school. Once old enough, he dropped out to become an apprentice towards Ansem's studies. Ansem the Wise was intent on researching the behavior of the human heart and doors to other worlds. During his stay, Ienzo met Xehanort - and joined him in the rebellion that overturned Ansem, handing his heart over to darkness and becoming the sixth member of Organization XIII.

As a Nobody stationed in the underground levels of Castle Oblivion, Zexion was grouped together with Vexen and Lexaeus. Early on he informs the two that he senses a scent "exactly that of" Xemnas, their Superior. He soon realizes that he was sensing Riku (due to the darkness in his heart that still contained Ansem's heartless), and the boy's actions were tracked up until Vexen's death.

Zexion and Lexaeus then decide to manipulate Riku into countering Marluxia's plan. Marluxia wished to overthrow the entire organization using a helpless and confused Sora - which Zexion opposed, proving his loyalty to Xemnas. However, once Marluxia was killed by Sora, Zexion soon stamped Riku as unnecessary and attempted to dispose of him.

Even so, he wasn't going to resort to brute force, which had gotten Lexaeus killed by the boy. Zexion instead disguises himself as Sora after leading Riku into a manifestation of Destiny Islands, filling his head with lies of how he fell into darkness and threw away his friends. Engulfed by light, Riku is then convinced by Kairi to accept both darkness and light. With newfound confidence, the boy follows Zexion's scent and strikes him. VI flees.

Not much later, Axel seeks him out within the castle, Vexen's Riku Replica in tow. Axel convinces the replica that he can become "real" by gaining power that the original Riku doesn't have. The replica agrees, and as per Axel's suggestion, kills Zexion.
The last thoughts of Axel's betrayal racing through his mind, VI can't recall what must've hurt worse: fading away at the replica's feet or the pull of the Consulo.
